LES CONCHES
Surfing Beach
An amazing expanse of beach backed by sand dunes and pine forests. Free parking is available near the beach with toilets. Its a great beach for learning to surf or bodyboard with board hire or lessons available at reasonable prices. During the summer months there are café cabins and lifeguards monitor the beach.
LA TRANCHE SUR MER
Village and Beach
Our local seaside village about 10 minutes away by car, full of everything you need, supermarkets, gift shops, restaurants and weekly markets. You will also find 1 km of lovely sandy beaches where you can take part in a range of watersports, boat trips or just a quite spot to relax. There is plenty to do for the children including a swimming pool, a new skatepark or take a bike ride along the many cycle paths. During August La Tranche sur Mer has a variety of events including a fabulous firework display on the beach.
LA ROCHELLE
Large beach town
La Rochelle is the capital of the Charente-Maritime and is connected to the Ile de re by a 2.9 km bridge. It is about 45 minutes away from La Marette. There is plenty to do in La Rochelle, markets, restaurants, boat trips, plenty of shops, street entertainment
